Structural Biology Research

The members of the Structural Biology Group, Drs. Wright, Peterson, and Barton, are using biophysical approaches to study the functioning and regulation of proteins, RNA-protein complexes, lipids, and lipoproteins. They are using X-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), cryoelectronmicroscopy, calorimetry, and circular dichroism (CD) to uncover the molecular mechanisms that underlie atherosclerosis, viral hepatitis, Alzheimer’s disease, and other disorders.
